Practor is practice management software for private healthcare practices in every specialty, made in South Africa: booking, encounters, invoices and claims in one place.
Why I built Practor
Someone I love is a practitioner. He saw patients all day, then came home to the claims and the patient admin there'd been no time for between appointments. That was most of his evenings.
He went looking for a single tool that would take some of that off him, and he tried a few. None of them was easy to use, and none came with the kind of support that let a practice grow at its own pace. I wanted him to have his evenings for the things he loved and the people he loved.
So I built Practor, one place to schedule his patients, capture his notes and do his billing, so that the admin took less of his day. He was the first practitioner I built for.

What we're working for
We want practitioners to spend their working day on what they trained for: better care, and better outcomes for their patients.
Practor runs a practice from the booking to the paid claim. Patients book online, a waitlist fills cancellations, and Practor sends the reminders. Ava, our AI scribe, writes up the consultation while the practitioner talks, and the practitioner accepts or declines each entry. Practor prices the invoice from the encounter's codes and checks each claim before the claim gets sent to the medical insurance.
We judge everything we build by three questions. Does this give a practitioner more time for patients? Is this simple enough to use between patients on a busy day? And does this help a practitioner get better outcomes for their patients?

Which specialties does Practor support?
Every specialty. The specialty you choose at setup decides which procedure and diagnosis codes load. Physiotherapy's tariff was the first we loaded, and if your professional body's tariff isn't there, you can import your own codes from a CSV file.
What does Practor cost?
Running a practice on Practor is free for everyone on the team. You only pay per use, for claims, benefit checks, patient messages and Ava, Practor's AI assistant. See the rates

Who can see patient records?
Only the staff your practice has given access to, and Practor logs every time someone opens a record. How records are protected
