What happens after you book an appointment
Your appointment appears under Appointments the moment you book, and its label says whether the practice has confirmed it yet. Moving it has a cut-off.
Your appointment shows up under Appointments the moment you book. The label on it says whether your practice has confirmed it.
Pending, or confirmed
Some practices confirm online bookings straight away. Others check each one, so yours sits at Pending until someone there accepts it.
Pending means nobody has agreed to see you yet. The appointment stays in your list while you wait. If the time passes and nobody has answered, it ends as Never confirmed.
Reminders
A reminder appears in Practor two days before your visit. Leave it unread and an email follows half an hour later, then a text the day before if you still haven't looked. Open it at any point and the rest stop.
Book less than two days ahead and you get no reminder at all, because you only just chose the time.
Nothing depends on the reminder either way. If none arrives your appointment is still there, and Appointments shows it whenever you want to check.
Move your appointment
Open Appointments, pick the visit, and choose Reschedule.
Every practice sets its own notice period. Get closer to the appointment than that and Reschedule greys out. Under it you'll read It is too late to move this online. Phone the practice and they can move it for you., beside a button that calls them.
You have three minutes after booking to change anything, whatever the notice period says. That's there so a mistake can be undone on the spot.
Cancel your appointment
Cancel appointment keeps working right up to the start time. The notice period doesn't block it.
Cancel inside that period and Practor says first: This is short notice. The practice may not be able to fill your time. Confirm, and the cancellation goes through anyway. Telling them late beats not turning up, and your slot can go to someone on their waitlist.
After the start time, you can't move or cancel online.
Your appointment isn't showing
Check which email address you signed in with. If it isn't the one your practice has on file, your booking sits against the other one. Contact your practice and they can tell you which address they hold.
